Evidence of Dota 2 to be Unveiled by Valve at GamesCom

It looks like Valve is set to unleash Dota 2 – the sequel to the highly popular Warcraft III mod Defense of the Ancients, at GamesCom.
A recent post on the official GamesCom site lists Valve as showing something from the “strategy” genre. It’s painfully obvious, but Dota IS considered a strategy game after all.
Dota and the people behind it have been busy with their own projects that very closely resembled the online phenomenon. League of Legends and Heroes of Newerth come to mind.
Will Dota be free-to-play as Team Fortress 2 is now? No one knows for sure, we’ll know more once GamesCom rolls around in August.
