Watch 12 Amazing Minutes of Arkham City Footage
By Alex Co | July 2, 2011 | News | No comments | ShareThe sequel to almost unarguably, the best superhero-based videogame of all time is just a few short months away. Yes, I’m talking about Arkham City; the sequel to the critically-acclaimed Batman: Arkham Asylum.
To make the wait a little more bearable, I present to you 12 stunning minutes of pure in-engine gameplay and cutscenes straight from the game!
You can see how Catwoman’s fighting style will be different from the Bat, the revamped HUD, interrogation, and how fantastic it is to traverse Arkahm City’s terrain and rooftops using the Batman’s grappling hook and glide ability.
Yeah, there are story elements in the trailer as well. If you absolutely do not want anything spoiled, I suggest NOT watching the video as it shows a few (relatively) minor plot points.

The combat is looking might fine, no? Batman definitely has upped his ass-kicking ability. It also looks like the levels are going to be way “sandbox-y” as well. Only concern of mine is the damn “Detective Mode” making you play the game with X-ray glasses. I’m sure I’ve heard a few people voice out this concern as well.
All I know is that wait for October 18 just got a little bit harder.
