EA Boss: We Have a Better Product than Our Key Competitor in the Space

We just reported what Activision CEO Eric Hirshberg thinks of the whole EA “taking us down” thing and now we have EA’s European boss, Jens Uwe Intat talking about just the thing! Ok, it’s nothing as sensational as that, but it still makes for some good reading.
On Battlefield 3 vs. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.
With Battlefield 3 we have a superior games engine and a top notch product. We are convinced that we will, in fact, have a better product than our key competitor in the space. We think this is the perfect year to gain back market share.
With Mass Effect 3 being officially delayed into early 2012, might it be safe to assume that Battlefield 3 will be EA’s big gun for this year’s already-crowded, fall lineup?
It’s our champion this year, yes. But it is true that we have a few more in the genre, so we will see how many different franchises we will continue with in that space.
Do you agree with his sentiments? More importantly, will fans agree using their wallets this coming fall? All I know is this fall’s battle for FPS supremacy will surely be fun to watch.
I support EA :)
