More Evidence Suggests to PS Vita Being True

Following reports yesterday of a supposed NGP, PSP2 name leak, it looks like the rumor is becoming more and more real.
A tweet sent out to Michael Pachter directs to a developer website with a sub-domain name of vita.scedev.net. While this could all be a coincidence, one wonders why Sony has that domain name for its developer website listed at all, unless it really is its name or once was.
Another report from GiantBomb suggests the same thing.
If you go to the web address vita.scedev.net, it leads you to Sony’s developer portal. ngp.scedev.net works as well.
Someone also registered PlayStationvita.com and psvita.com on April 19, long before the rumors or leaks started.
Giant Bomb’s Patrick Klepek, has talked to several developer sources, all of whom wished to remain anonymous for obvious reasons, but has confirmed that Vita was the codename for the NGP when Sony was first showing the handheld to developers. So, we know now based on an anonymous source that NGP was indeed called “Vita” at some point.
The big question is, was it just used for a codename and then dropped? Or will this be the final name for the NGP? To know the real deal. stay tuned for Sony’s E3 press conference which will be happening next week.
