Lionhead: “Fable 2 PC Version Is Not A Priority”

Since Fable III was announced for PC, it gave renewed hope to fans of the series that would love to see the previous chapter, Fable II, get the same treatment.

Skipping forward to this week, it seems that their prayers have all been in vain. In an interview, Lionhead Studios’ Mike West mentions that the team that developed Fable II will focus on new projects, essentially crushing any remaining hope of Fable II being ported to the PC.

With Fable III the team and time was right to create a PC version. Once the game went to submission the content creators started working on DLC and therefore the coders were free to start on the PC version.
Unfortunately for Fable II fans, those same coders are already working on new projects and going back to a Fable II conversion isn’t a priority I’m afraidMike West, Lionhead Studios

Still, there is no information to be found of any new projects from the developers, so with no hints or clues at our disposal, we will, unfortunately have to wait until E3. That is of course, if they reveal anything at all.
However, while you wait for the new projects, you can still tuck into Fable III – which is on shelves May 19th.
