L.A. Noire Playable on the Go With OnLive

OnLive has launched on the Android and is soon to launch for the iOS, meaning you’ll be able to stream big name games to your iPhone and iPad, one of them being the critically acclaimed L.A. Noire. You’ll be able to enjoy Rockstar’s title starting this week, but that’s not all. If you access OnLive from your Android or iOS device, you’ll be getting LEGO: Batman for free.

While some games, like L.A. Noire, will be fully playable via touchscreen alone, OnLive pointed out way back during E3 that not every game will be playable on every device, or that some will require the OnLive gamepad. On the flip side, all accounts are universal, so if you buy a game via OnLive for the PC, you’ll be able to enjoy it on your Android phone as well.

I’m glad things are looking up for OnLive after the rough start. It’s a great idea, and while I don’t think it’s a replacement for “real” consoles, it most certainly is a nice choice to have on the market.
