Batman: Arkham City was released to ecstatic reviews and some mixed reactions to the underlying (or overt, depending on your interpretation) misogyny of some of its language last month. Yesterday, Batman developers Rocksteady Studios announced on their official Arkham City twitter feed that that the Dark Knight will once again be rising to a new fight, this time in his very own Batcave. This will be the third DLC installment for the game, following the Nightwing pack that was released November first, and the Robin pack, which was released just last week. The Nightwing pack added Batman’s ally Nightwing as a playable character for the game’s challenge maps, an alternative skin for the player character, and two new challenge maps: “Wayne Manor” and “Main Hall.” The Robin pack and contained the original Robin pre-order bonus content: Robin as an additional playable character, along with several alternative skins and additional challenge maps. Another skins pack containing all of the alternate Batman pre-order skins is scheduled for release on December 6, 2011.

The tweet also specified that the pack will arrive on December 20 and will also include two maps that were made previously available (Iceberg Lounge and Joker’s Carnival). The DLC has not received an official price or press release from Rocksteady studios yet, but we will update you with additional information as it becomes available.
