New Dark Souls Patch 1.05 Released

From Software’s critically acclaimed and impossibly difficult action-rpg Dark Souls has now released a patch version 1.05 for both US and UK players on both platforms Playstation 3 and Xbox 360, US members of the Dark Souls forum and Eurogamer have confirmed.
Dark Souls was released last month to positive reception and general player frustration with the game’s incredible difficulty. Currently, the game holds an 89% average on metacritic. Ironically enough, the patch can actually make the game more difficult, as it precludes players from using some favorable spell combinations that make the game slightly more bearable (only slightly).
The latest patch was released in Japan earlier this year. A list of translated official notes for the Japanese patch is provided by Pastebin. We’ll update any additional information on the Western patch as it becomes available.
