Metal Gear Solid 5 News Was a False Alarm

Well, this is embarrassing. On Friday, the Internet was set ablaze by news that Kojima was working on Metal Gear Solid 5. Turns out that reality is a bit different, and OPM UK were merely teasing us with the line “[Kojima] openly discusses his plans for Metal Gear Solid 5 and Project Ogre for the first time”. While the phrasing strongly implied that this was indeed confirmation of MGS5, it turned out it wasn’t. Kojima was merely saying how it’s likely that they’ll develop a sequel “one day”. We apologize for publishing such a non-story and will do better with fact checking in the future.
