Some of you in all likelihood haven’t slept in days as you’ve been experiencing everything Battlefield 3 has to offer. If I can encourage you to take a shower, grab something to eat, and perhaps even sleep for a few hours, that’d probably be good for you. Once you’re all freshened up, come have a gander at this here gallery of Back to Karkand screenshots, the Battlefield 3 expansion that threatens to suck even more of your lives away this December.
The content pack will bring four “new”, reworked classic Battlefield maps: its namesake Strike at Karkand, the much-loved Wake Island, and Battlefield 2‘s Gulf of Oman and Sharqi Peninsula. But wait! There’s more! The DLC pack also includes ten weapons new to Battlefield 3, as well as three new vehicles: the zippy Desert Patrol Vehicles, an APC designated BTR-90, and the STOVL-enabled F-35B Lightning II, one of the variants of the JSF program.
Though we’ve known about Back to Karkand for a long while–and while pre-orderers of the limited edition already have a code for it–it’s nice to get some new details. We still don’t have a price point yet, but I’d expect the usual $10-$15. Just when you’ll think you’ve kicked the Battlefield 3 habit next month, Back to Karkand will be ready to drag you right back in.
