Battlefield 3 on PS3 Doesn’t Include Battlefield 1943 as PromisedBy Harry Monogenis | October 26, 2011 | News | No comments | Share
Battlefield 3‘s launch has been a mess so far, with servers shutting down on Xbox LIVE, a crazy amount of glitches in single-player becoming increasingly annoying and EA’s dodgy distribution of review copies in an attempt to secure a high Metacritic score to name just a few, so news that a promise made by EA and voiced by Sony has gone unfulfilled is only about to make things worse.
Remember back at E3 when Sony announced that all PS3 copies of Battlefield 3 would include, on the same Blu-ray, a copy of Battlefield 1943? Yeah, as it turns out, that’s not happening any more — and EA nor DICE bothered to even tell their customers that until now.
However, what’s more shocking than this is the fact that a tweet by the EA-appointed Battlefield 3 community manager has been the only sort of acknowledgement from EA themselves. Oh wait, there’s an even more shocking part: to make up for the problem the company will be letting PS3 users buy DLC first, as mentioned in this tweet:
In lieu of 1943 being available on disk for PS3 customers, EA has made all BF3 expansions available early to PS3 customers.
Oh man, that’s just fantastic right?
