Like a Christmas present arriving a day early, we’ve got some big news to share with you Battlefield fans: the long-anticipated game is now live on Origin for PC players. Though it wasn’t expected until tomorrow, an exploit that allowed some gamers to play using a Korean VPN a day early forced EA’s hand. The publisher has opened the floodgates, allowing access to Battlefield 3‘s servers a day in advance. Gamers who pre-ordered on Origin will receive the joyful tidings via email:

Take note that this only for the PC version, and those who ordered physical copies will still have to wait. We’ve had reports of gamers having trouble activating their copies as well, so be patient as you attempt to deploy. Also, the Battlefield 3 servers will be down for maintenance between 6:00 and 6:30 PM PST. So grab your weapons, and happy fragging, everybody!
Battlefield, Y U NO COME TO CONSOLES EARLY?
Cause they cant.
I HATE uncle sam from time to time...
