After months of speculation from fans, Blizzard officially announced at BlizzCon today that the world of Azeroth will be growing even larger.  World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria was announced as the fourth expansion pack for the ultra-popular MMORPG, bringing with it a ton of new content which will include the return of the Pandaren race, last seen in Warcraft III.

According to Blizzard, the events of Cataclysm has brought about the return of the Pandarens, although the specifics of how and why that occurred remain to be seen. In addition to the new race, players will be given the opportunity to play as the new Monk class, which will focus on martial-arts combat, as well as new dungeons, quests and group scenarios. The level cap has also been bumped up to 90, giving players an extra incentive as they traverse the new continent.

Blizzard recently announced a fairly significant loss in subscribers after the release of Cataclysm, and the company is undoubtedly watching very closely to see if a new expansion will help to rectify that. There is no release date yet for Mists of Pandaria, and you can see a full list of features here.
