Minecraft Adventure Update Officially Released

Sandbox megahit Minecraft received a massive update today, which has basically added a game within the game.
The highly anticipated update to 1.8, or “The Adventure Update,” adds NPC villages, bosses, a leveling system, strongholds and a lot more, essentially giving the game a purpose beyond tinkering with materials. The update is so big it has been split into two parts, with the second half, version 1.9, adding NPCs and updated to the Nether, although there is no release date yet.
